"Cosmic eye sees sparks crackling. Art is afoot on the globe. The creative virus spreads as planned. Visions erupt with desires as primal as hunger. They demand expression. More sparks, ever more crackling. Art begets art begets the rainbow we create when connecting our hearts to the all.
Art is the harmony that results from the unity of opposites. It is the explanation of mysteries like "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts," that surrounds us as artists. Through each creation the cosmos reveals a little more about itself. Art then is one of the primary purposes of the human experiment that also gives our lives meaning and depth. Art flowers, art bridges, and ultimately art understands the intimate complexity of our experience."

The cycles of the Moon reflect the cycles of our lives. Each month a new moon is born in darkness passing through the portals of the celestial womb. As a youth, she hangs tenderly as a crescent befriended by Venus who teaches her the ways of beauty. Quickly she waxes and blooms in fullness, in menses, as her flower is potent with the magic of creating children. And oh how her light shines! And the Moon children, drunk with adoration, dance in fields at midnight to honor her. Gracefully she ages, waning with acquired wisdom. She contemplates the power of the sun and reflects it into our emotional bodies as passion, intuition and illusion. In old age she buries herself in earthshadow leaving us in darkness, a short life of 28 days. But soon she resurrects, different yet the same as before - just as beautiful, just as potent, just as wise."

In the West where the moon sinks into the sea, a giant golden cup shimmers into being. The shamans know that their call has been answered. At first trembling, they move through their reluctance, disrobe and enter the mysterious yet nurturing waters. Gradually they remember themselves as sensitive beings. All feeling swims through them. They dive into darkness exploring the source of their intuition and then resurface with a splash and float for a while in ecstasy."

The Princess of Cups is non-attachment to emotions that comes from letting go, feeling them, observing them, and continuing to let them go. For the Princess of Cups, emotions are meditations on how to experience the world purely in the moment as it happens. She releases possessiveness and jealously and expectations in her relationships with others. She is simply joy or anger or sadness or fear. The complexity in her face tells us she feels them deeply; laughing, crying and yelling as they happen and then moving on to the next experience which most likely involves dancing. Dancing on light in fields of waterflowers is her favorite way to express the boundless freedom she is heiress to. In her innocence she may break the hearts of those who try to possess her playful freedom."
